il Gambero Rotto
Caro Gambero, voi avete gusti musicali cosi' -come dire- alternativi. Estremi, indeed, dalla musica tradizionale alla musica transizionale (bella questa, eh?). I Portishead, oggesu', che pesanti. Ho due album, Dummy e Third, e non riesco mai ad indovinare quale dei due sto ascoltando. Li daro' in omaggio non appena mi arriva un nipote.
E -di grazia- cos'e' il trip-hop? E il quant'altro? :o)
Gusti “alternativi”? Non saprei, forse in fatto di poesia, vista l’attenzione che ho dedicato all’opera di Sandro Bondi. Colgo la palla al balzo per postare un frammento dell’ineffabile Federico Moccia, il più grande esperto italiano di turntablism:
PS: butta pure Third, ma tieni Dummy. C’è un aggettivo,
“seminale”, che mi ha fatto smettere all’istante di leggere qualsiasi rivista, libro o blog in cui lo trovassi, ma che – in questo caso – potrebbe pure starci.Spezzo una lancia a favore di "third", che ho ascoltato iniettato (!) in una calda sera di luglio, a Castiglioncello, in un bar aperto sul mare. Mi pareva molto bello (ma era sicuramente anche la sera, e anche il mare, a metterci del loro).
Non che Third sia male, ma sull’isola deserta si porta Dummy. Non il mio disco preferito, ma quello che vorrei aver fatto io: curiosa distinzione, nevvero?
C'ho riflettuto. Anche su 'sta storia dell'isola deserta, c'ho riflettuto. È proprio perché 'st'isola deserta non esiste (ci troveresti sicuramente qualche "famoso" trasportato lì con l'elicottero e intento in prove di sopravvivenza lautamente filmate) che vale la pena apprezzare anche un album come Third. Considera inoltre la modestia: non l'hanno mica chiamato First. Mi sembrano tutte cose da valutare con rispettosa ammirazione.
